With her roots in art education, Susan is a commercial and public art consultant, collections manager, and curator who is passionate about the local original art economy. Businesses and organizations interested in communicating sophistication, innovation, and success, engage Susan to begin their process of connecting to the arts community and turn their spaces into stories.
Incorporated since 2007, S. Pointe & Co. has worked with a variety of clients such as: Pangman Developments, Dialog, AIMCo, the Lois Hole Hospital for Women, C. K. Hui Heart Centre, Servus Credit Union, and the City of Edmonton. A passionate advocate for the arts as a key to place-making, civic vibrancy, community building and health, Susan developed the ArtTourYEG.ca series for the Department of Urban Renewal.
After obtaining her Masters in Museum Studies, Susan worked at the McMicheal Canadian Art Collection in Ontario launching her commitment to Canadian art. Then, Susan returned home to Edmonton to direct the University Hospital’s McMullen Art Gallery, the UAH Art Collection of 1200 artworks and develop the flourishing Artists On the Wards program. She received the Global Television’s Women of Vision Award for her work in arts in healthcare.
Susan equally volunteers her time in the arts community, currently sitting on the board of Arts Habitat, and the planning committees for Edmonton Design Week, and the Art In Our Park Festival. Susan continues to write and publish about the the power of the arts in community, health and corporate settings.
